Veneered Points
Four tulipwood ( dalbergia frutescans, Brazil ) points, with 4 veneers, are spliced into a very well figured piece of heartwood, Birdseye maple. The tulipwood butt sleeve contains a Bloodwood block work ring with 12 pieces of ivory. The joint collars are Double-black phenolic and nickel silver. The joint sleeve is stainless steel.  This is probably the nicest piece of tulipwood I have had in the last 12 years. Heartwood Birdseye maple is uncommon because the lumber mills greatly favor the whitest Birdseye they can get. The fact of the matter is that the heartwood produces what many feel is the best playing cue. Two shafts with ivory ferrules are provided with this cue.
